Web-Empowering Your Church
Many churches use their websites simply as bulletin boards for their own members and brochures, to advertise who they are. But few exploit the Internet imaginatively for outreach, e.g., proclamation, teaching,counseling, service, peacemaking. Such broad and creative Web ministry requires Web literacy: the ability of church members not only to access and consume digital information (text, pictures, video, sound), but also to produce and deploy it. This workshop will begin to prepare Presbyterian Communicators to promote Web literacy in congregations and presbyteries through the following instruction/discussion items:
